MEET THE FOUNDER, Financial Planner & Wealth Advisor

Anna Kindley, M.Ed., ChFC, NSSA, SHRM-SCP

Anna is highly experienced and has 25 years working as a Human Resources professional with some of the most well-known Fortune 500 companies.  She has deep knowledge and experience supporting employees and organizations in various industries with their retirement plans (401k and 403b),  Stock Options, Restricted Stock Units, Deferred Compensation Plans, Long Term Incentives, Group Life Insurance, Short Term, and Long Term Disability, and Profit-Sharing Plans.

With the rapidly changing global business landscape of the last decade, Anna recognized she possessed skills that could significantly impact and improve people’s lives beyond the company retirement and benefit plans. 

To further help individuals, families, and business owners, Anna enhanced her vast HR experience by becoming a licensed fiduciary, earning her FINRA Financial licenses, Insurance licenses, National Social Security Advisor license, and her financial designation ChFC, (Chartered Financial Consultant), from the American College of Finance. 

Combining Anna’s strong and unique background in both HR and Finance, Anna founded AKPride Financial as a truly diverse and inclusive independent investment firm while bringing an integrated perspective with proven experience to better educate people in financial planning, retirement income planning, estate planning, risk assessments, and market investment strategies. 

When working with individuals and companies, understanding you, your business, and your goals is essential. To meet the client’s expectations, Anna applies 100% accountability, collaboration, and total transparency to every aspect of her work. Anna prides herself on her commitment to ethical practices, her carefully honed professional experiences, and her ability to simplify complex strategies into meaningful, actionable plans. Anna and her firm are based in Atlanta, Georgia and work with clients across the country. “We take pride in all we do,” is Anna’s personal creed and represents the meaningful difference she and her firm make in people’s lives every day. 

Some personal information about Anna: She spent her early years in North Carolina. In her professional roles, Anna relocated for corporate positions in many areas of the U.S., but she has always called Atlanta home. She currently resides in the Dunwoody-Sandy Springs area of Atlanta. She enjoys attending music, theater, symphony productions, wine- and bourbon-tasting events, East Carolina University alumni football games, traveling, and playing Frisbee with her two border collies.

Ana Hata, Financial Planner and Wealth Advisor, AAMS®

Ana Hata helps people make confident, meaningful decisions about their money. She focuses on four core values—Action, Learning, Commitment, and Fulfillment—to guide clients toward financial clarity and a life they love.

Ana works with women‑owned small businesses, corporate executives, female professionals, and families, with a special dedication to serving women+, women of color, and LGBTQ+ clients. Her experience includes multi-generational wealth transfer, stock options and RSU investment management, and business owner planning. For high-net-worth individuals, Ana includes the client’s trusted advisors such as estate planning attorneys, business attorneys, CPAs, etc.

A first‑generation daughter of immigrants, Ana grew up in Southern California and earned her B.S. in Neuroscience from UCLA. Before becoming a financial planner in 2018, she spent over a decade in biotech and pharmaceutical research. She holds her FINRA licenses and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ (AAMS) designation.

Ana is active in the community through Central Texas Refugees, and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She lives in Austin with her husband, Dean, their son, Kenzo, and their dog, Penelope. Outside of work, she loves fostering rescue dogs, painting, reading, and freshwater fishkeeping.

Diane Ricketts, Administrative Assistant

Diane Ricketts is an Administrative Assistant and a licensed insurance agent with AKPride Financial Services. She has 20+ years experience working in operations and office administration. Diane manages AKPride’s client services, ensures efficient office operations and leads the firm’s special projects.

In Diane’s free time she enjoys traveling with her friends and family. At the end of every busy day, you can find her cuddling with her Labrador Retriever BellaDonna.
